5. Is it safe to meet in person with members from the site?
We would strongly advise all of our members to take appropriate precautions to ensure your safety when meeting other members. Below are some simple and safe dating tips that we would advise members to follow:
- Never give out your personal details such as postal address, email address or telephone number to complete strangers.
- On your first meeting arrange to meet in a public place where there will be lots of other people such as a bar, restaurant or shopping centre.
- Arrive separately, never accept a lift to or from the venue on your first date.
- Tell a friend/relative where you are going and what time you are likely to return home. Remember to call your friend/relative at the end or during the course of the date.
- Most importantly, use your common sense! Follow your instincts as these are usually a good guide. If you feel uncomfortable, make your excuses and leave.
